Membership & Development Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Membership & Development Coordinator to support member engagement, development operations, and program execution for a mission-driven association/nonprofit organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure smooth operations, strong member experiences, and successful events and initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Membership & Engagement Support

  • Support day-to-day membership operations, including member records, renewals, and inquiries
  • Maintain accurate data in CRM or membership databases
  • Assist with member communications, outreach campaigns, and engagement initiatives
  • Support volunteer, committee, or stakeholder coordination as needed

Development & Revenue Support

  • Assist with development operations, including donor tracking, acknowledgments, and reporting
  • Prepare donor correspondence, invoices, and contribution documentation
  • Support sponsorship and partnership coordination efforts
  • Work closely with finance or leadership to ensure accurate records and follow-up

Programs & Events

  • Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, conferences, webinars, and events
  • Assist with registration, speakers, vendors, exhibitors, and on-site or virtual coordination
  • Track budgets, contracts, and timelines related to programs and events
  • Support post-event reporting and data cleanup

Administrative & Cross-Functional Support

  • Support senior staff with scheduling, coordination, and project tracking
  • Assist with preparing materials, reports, and presentations
  • Coordinate across internal teams and external partners to keep projects moving

Qualifications

Required / Strongly Preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in a nonprofit, association, or mission-driven organization
  • Experience supporting membership, development, programs, or events
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills
  • Comfort working with CRM systems (Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or similar)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting donor or sponsorship operations
  • Event or conference coordination experience
  • Exposure to finance processes such as invoicing or expense tracking
  • Experience working with volunteers, boards, or committees
